Parents and school working together is an unbeatable combination. During the month of November, many of our parents were able to meet with elementary teachers from Stony Brook, West End, East End, and Somerset Schools to discuss ways to further support our children in their learning. November also provided our high school parents with Guidance Night, to gain similar insights for our students in our most advanced grades. Throughout the year, all of our schools will continue to offer opportunities for parents to engage with staff in the learning journey for our students.
It is our most sincere wish that parents feel welcomed in our schools, knowledgeable of the instruction occurring in their children's classes and confident that our teachers, staff and administration are dedicated to the success and well being of each student. Although Fall teacher conferences have occurred, we look forward to meetings, conversations or email exchanges throughout the course of the school year. We also hope that you will join our family events in every school and be a frequent visitor to the school calendar:
for news of such happenings. This year, we have also scheduled a series of superintendent-parent forums. These forums are informal conversations about ideas, concerns or questions that parents may wish to share. The dates and times for the upcoming parent forums are:
January 10, 2017 9:00 am – 11:00 am West End School Community Room
March 16, 2017 7:00 pm – 9:00 pm East End School Community Room
May 30, 2017 9:00 am – 11:00 am Somerset School Community Room
Thank you for your partnership. Working together we know that all our students will unlock their potential and create impact.
