Background:

I am a third year teacher and graduate of Kean University in Union New Jersey.  I received my B.A. in Health and Physical Education with a certification to teach grades K-12.  I graduated from Kean University with Summa Cum Laude high honors and belonged to the Phi Kappa Phi national honor society.  My intense course of study at Kean University has prepared me to be an informed, dynamic professional in the Health and Physical Education field, and trained me to educate my students with the most current and up to date educational practices.
I am also a graduate of the North Plainfield School District and was born and raised right here in town.  I am proud to say I am a product of the North Plainfield School system which I attended from Kindergarten through Graduation.  I am proud to say many of the wonderful teachers I had when I was in school, are my co-workers and peers!
In High School I was an active participant in the Concert band, where I played the trumpet..  I am VERY proud to call myself a North Plainfield Canuck and participated in many sports in High School.  Those sports included Basketball, Baseball, and Track.  However, my true passion and sport of choice in High School was playing for the North Plainfield Canuck Football Team.  I was a captain of the football team my senior year, and when I was a junior we re-enstated the "North vs. South Annual Thanksgiving Game" to which North Plainfield has never lost to date since the re-enstatement. (GO CANUCKS!)  Playing football is where some of my fondest memories from High School came from and a place where my coaches taught me the value of hard work, dedication, being a stand up individual, and many other life lessons.

Likes/Interests
I do not only teach about health and physical education, I also live it.  I like to think that I practice what I preach!  Some of my favorite hobbies are exercising and playing many different sports.  I love to try new things, spend time with my family and friends, read, and watch the two best teams in New York/New Jersey.....yep you guessed them; The JETS and the Yankees.  I also love to spend time at the beach where I enjoy boating on the Barnegat Bay, and relaxing.
Lastly I truly love and have a lot of passion for what I do.  I believe I have the best job in the world, and get up everyday thankful that I get to do what I do.  I love working with all my students, and having the opportunity to teach them how to be healthy and physically fit.
