Mission Statement 
The Counseling Department in North Plainfield is concerned with the whole student. The philosophy of the Counseling Department is to assist students in personal growth through the development of educational planning, self-awareness, goal setting, decision making, implementation of career plans, and the evaluation of personal and career goals. 

Counselors serve as advocates for the students and provide a vital link between the school, home, and special services/outside agencies. Counselors provide students with information related to course selections, college and career planning, and personal/social development.
