Preschool* & Kindergarten Registration

Currently enrolled North Plainfield Preschool students DO NOT need to re-register for Kindergarten

The registration process with begin Online on March 1. After completing the online pre-registration, you will be contacted to make an in-person appointment to complete the process. 

Important Information
In accordance with the Board of Education Policy on,
For the 24/25 school year, students must meet the age requirements below on or before October 15, 2024
For the 25/26 school year, students must meet the age requirements below on or before October 15, 2025

  • Preschool 3 must be three (3) years of age 
  • Preschool 4 must be four (4) years of age
  • Kindergarten must be five (5) years of age

There are no exceptions to this Board of Education policy

All required documents must be brought to the in-person appointment. 
Required documents:

  • Original Birth Certificate or Passport
  • Parent /Guardian Photo I.D. 
  • Immunization Record
  • Proof of Residency
  • Universal Child Health Record

Incomplete paperwork will delay placement

Student placements are made by the district.
Letters notifying placement will be mailed home before the start of the school year.

*After Preschool capacity has been reached  all completed registration applications will be placed on a waitlist
