    Dear Parents/Guardians,

The fourth marking period is upon us and reports are on their way to your home.  Please visit our website for current information pertaining to the school. As the end-of-the-school-year approaches, updates on activities and events will be posted.

Every spring North Plainfield High School offers a free college placement test, the Accuplacer, to all juniors and selected sophomores. Students that score in the college level for mathematics and Language Arts have an opportunity to take free college level courses at the high school.  This year the Accuplacer is being offered on May 24th and May 25th, 2017.

With the advance of warmer weather, I believe it is necessary to remind the students to heed the dress code, which is clearly defined in their student handbook, the Woodsman.  Please review the information with your child and contact the school if you have any questions regarding this or any other policy.  For your convenience, the “Code of Attire” has been posted on our high school web page, www.nplainfield.org.

The school, in conjunction with the PTO is in the process of developing fun activities for your children to enjoy as this school year comes to a close.  Please talk to your child about these events and/or check the website for time and dates of the events.  As you know, your involvement in school activities and events is extremely important.  Do not hesitate to get involved.  Contact the school and we will be able to link you with a parent organization that will allow you to contribute in the events that your children have been looking forward to participating in.

I look forward to seeing all of you as the spring unfolds.  Don’t forget to keep your eyes out for the information that the school will be sending home to you and please contact the school if you have any questions or concerns.

    Go Canucks!

    Sincerely,

    Jerard W. Stephenson, Ed.D.

    Principal
